IN WATER

The term “In water” for me isn’t just a place. It’s been a good home. All of my specialities in photographing surf and climbing came from my love of the sports first and foremost. My first images in water were taken on an entirely manual Nikonos 35mm Film camera. No light meter or focus; it comes down to my own judgement of light and movement. Starting there and working up to digital cameras in a housing, I feel lucky to have my roots in salt water, conglomerate rock, and celluloid.
